FAQ
General
What simulators does JetCard support?
Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020 and 2024) and X-Plane 12. MSFS connects via SimConnect/FSUIPC automatically. X-Plane connects via UDP — configure the port in Settings. See Sim Connection for details.
Is JetCard multiplayer?
JetCard is a shared-world experience. All pilots share the same charter board, leaderboard, and aircraft market. You can see other active pilots on the Live Map, form companies together, and compete on the leaderboard. Flight execution happens in your own sim session.
Does JetCard require an internet connection?
Yes. JetCard requires an internet connection for charter data, flight logging, and the financial system. All pilot data is stored in the cloud — you can log in from any machine with the same account.
Can I play offline?
Not currently. The charter board, flight completion, and financial systems all require server communication.
Flying
My flight isn’t being detected
Make sure your sim is running and JetCard shows a connected status in the Dispatch Module footer. MSFS should connect automatically. For X-Plane, verify the UDP port in Settings matches your sim’s broadcast port.
I completed my flight but can’t click Complete
The Complete Flight button unlocks when JetCard detects TAXI IN — you must have been airborne (wheels off) and then landed (wheels on) at the destination. If the button doesn’t appear, check that:
- You actually departed and landed (not just loaded at the arrival airport)
- Your sim is connected and reporting data
Can I pause mid-flight?
Yes. JetCard holds your flight state if the sim disconnects or you close the app. Reconnect and your flight resumes. However, the elapsed time guard still applies — if your actual flight time is significantly shorter than estimated, your payout may be reduced.
What happens if I crash?
JetCard doesn’t detect crashes directly. If you end up back on the ground after being airborne, TAXI IN fires and you can complete the flight. Your landing rate will reflect the touchdown, though.
Can I use time acceleration?
JetCard tracks real elapsed time, not sim time. Time acceleration will get you to the destination faster in-sim, but the elapsed time guard compares your actual block time to the estimated flight time. Heavy acceleration on short flights may trigger the pro-rate threshold.
Business
How do I make more money?
Move from FREELANCE (10% payout) to EMPLOYED (negotiated rate) or OWNER (full charter value minus costs). See the payout structure for details. Owners have the highest earning potential but also bear all operating costs.
Can I go bankrupt?
Your balance can go negative. Owner pilots who fly unprofitable routes or miss loan payments can accumulate debt. However, there’s no forced bankruptcy for individual pilots — only operators face forced dissolution at reputation 0.
Why did my charter value seem low?
Charter values floor at 120% of operating costs. Short flights in expensive aircraft categories may have lower margins. Check the Financials tab in the Dispatch Module before accepting to see the cost breakdown.
How do I refinance?
When your reputation qualifies you for a better bank tier, a green Refinance button appears on your active loan in the Bank page. Your banker will also text you via jPhone with the offer.
Technical
Where are the app logs?
C:\Users\[YourName]\Documents\JetCard\Logs\
How do I update?
JetCard checks for updates automatically on launch. When an update is available, a banner appears with a download button. Download and run the installer — it upgrades in place.
The app seems frozen when minimized
This shouldn’t happen — JetCard disables background throttling. If you experience issues, ensure no other application is aggressively managing background processes.
