JetCard Pilot Manual

Welcome to the JetCard Pilot Manual. JetCard is a business aviation simulator companion app for Microsoft Flight Simulator and X-Plane 12.

What is JetCard?

JetCard simulates the operation, economics, and immersion of flying for business aviation clients across the globe. Accept charters from a live market, fly them in your sim, build your reputation, acquire aircraft, and grow a charter company — all with a realistic financial model based on real-world operating costs.

Users have the option to work their way up from a freelancer, flying for the NPC operators of JetCard using their planes and their clients while they build reputation and cash reserves, eventually graduating to one of our player-owned operators or even starting their own charter company. JetCard’s world offers users many ways to experience the lavish and exciting world of private aviation — which path will you choose?

Quick Start

  1. Create an account — Sign up for your account
  2. Download and install — Your JetCard license key is avaialble both in your Account Page on the website or in the Confirmation Email you recieved at sign up.
  3. Connect your sim — MSFS connects automatically via SimConnect or FSUIPC depending on settings, X-Plane requires a UDP port setting.
  4. Browse the charter board — Search for an Open or Contract charter and accept your first flight!
  5. Fly the charter in your sim — JetCard tracks your flight phases automatically.
  6. Get paid — your payout depends on your pilot status and the charter value. Save money and buy airplanes or start your own company!

Core Concepts

  • Charters — the jobs. Browse, accept, fly, get paid
  • Reputation — your standing in the industry. Higher rep unlocks better loans, brokers, and hiring opportunities
  • Aircraft — buy, lease, or fly generic NPC aircraft. Each has real operating costs
  • Operators — form a charter company, hire pilots, manage a fleet
  • jPhone — your in-flight communication system with dispatchers, FBOs, brokers, and bankers

Pilot Status

Every pilot starts as FREELANCE and earns 10% of charter value flying for NPC operators. As you build reputation and capital, you can:

  • Apply to a company via the Job Board to become EMPLOYED at a negotiated pay rate
  • Form your own operator to become an OWNER and keep the full charter value minus expenses
